The ObservatoryRoom for reconciliation
A quiet moment that makes it possible to carry a grudge a little more lightly, with no demand to forgive
How it works
This moment isn't about forcing forgiveness. Nobody can order themselves to forgive, and this exercise doesn't try to. It simply makes a little room, to see whether something might become easier to carry.
Session in 8 steps, about 9 minutes. Doing it is part of Premium, which you try free for 7 days with no card. With Premium your answers are saved so you can pick up where you left off and look back at what you wrote.

Why does it work?
Forgiveness programs led by a professional produced more forgiveness and less depression and anxiety than no treatment; longer programs produced more (meta-analysis, Wade et al. 2014). Forgiving thoughts produced lower stress than rumination (Witvliet et al. 2001). The session requires no forgiveness, and a single session is far below the dose in the studies.
