What works and what chafes

Go through a few areas of your life and see how they work in everyday life, without anything having to be a shortcoming. Then choose one thing that can become a little easier.

Quality of life is your own assessment of how life is working, not a competition. Start by pointing out a few areas. You can use some of the suggestions: health, home, money, relationships, work or studies, leisure.

Exercise in 4 steps, about 9 minutes. Doing it is part of Premium, which you try free for 7 days with no card. With Premium your answers are saved so you can pick up where you left off and look back at what you wrote.

Try Premium

The rest of the text and the exercise are part of Premium. You try everything for 7 days with no card, and can cancel whenever you like. Sign in if you already have an account.

The evidence

Why does it work?

Life-area rating builds on measures of subjective well-being in which people assess satisfaction within sub-areas of life, for example the Personal Wellbeing Index in Cummins, Eckersley, Pallant, Van Vugt & Misajon, 'Developing a national index of subjective wellbeing: The Australian Unity Wellbeing Index', Social Indicators Research 64, 159–190 (2003). The exercise is a reflection exercise and not a validated measurement instrument; it gives a snapshot that shifts with your current form, and it does not replace contact with healthcare for prolonged low mood.

Account, your first assessment with the hexagon and one new measurement every quarter are free. The rest is part of Premium: SEK 99 a month or SEK 699 a year, VAT included.
