Why does it work?
NSDR is a collective term for yoga nidra-like deep rest. Randomized studies of short yoga nidra meditations show reduced stress and better well-being (Moszeik m.fl. 2020). Findings of increased dopamine release (Kjaer m.fl. 2002) come from a very small study, so treat them as a hypothesis, not a promise. The rest itself is real; the exact brain mechanisms are still being explored.
