The ObservatoryWhat you can influence in your finances
Sort money worries into what you can actually do something about and what you can't
How it works
- The whole listList
- SortNarrow downChoose
Worry tends to mix up what you can actually do something about with what lies completely outside your control right now. Sorting them is not dismissing the worry. It is directing it to where it does some good.

Why does it work?
Sorting worry by what can be influenced and what cannot is an established principle in worry management. It is used, for example, in cognitive behavioral therapy to separate productive problem-solving from unproductive rumination (compare the principles behind stimulus control for worry, Borkovec et al.). No financial advice is given here.
